Sister sizes of 44C
42D and 46B hold a similar cup volume to 44C with a tighter or looser band. If the band of a 44C rides up, try 42D; if it digs in, try 46B.
Larger bands are widely produced, but the stretch of the band matters more than anywhere else in the range: fabrics that measure right but stretch loose can lose their support over time. Fasten a new bra on the loosest hook and expect to tighten over its life. Cups on large bands are often cut shallow — if you get gaping with a correct band, try one cup down before changing band.

What is 44C in European sizing?
A 44C corresponds to 100C in European sizing and 115C in French/Spanish sizing, by the usual correspondences. The conversion changes the band numbering, and from DD up the cup letter too (US DD = EU E); individual brands can differ.
Is 44C big or small?
It is a larger band size, found in many brands' extended ranges. Cup letters mean nothing alone: a cup only has a volume relative to its band, which is why 42D and 46B hold a similar volume to 44C.
My 44C doesn't fit — what should I try?
If the band rides up or feels loose, go to 42D. If the band digs in while the cup is fine, go to 46B. If the cup overflows, try one cup up in the same band; if it wrinkles empty, one cup down. Two minutes with the calculator gives you a fresh estimate.
