44D and 48B hold a similar cup volume to 46C with a tighter or looser band. If the band of a 46C rides up, try 44D; if it digs in, try 48B.
Larger bands are widely produced, but the stretch of the band matters more than anywhere else in the range: fabrics that measure right but stretch loose can lose their support over time. Fasten a new bra on the loosest hook and expect to tighten over its life. Cups on large bands are often cut shallow — if you get gaping with a correct band, try one cup down before changing band.

What is 46C in European sizing?
A 46C corresponds to 105C in European sizing and 120C in French/Spanish sizing, by the usual correspondences. The conversion changes the band numbering, and from DD up the cup letter too (US DD = EU E); individual brands can differ.
Is 46C big or small?
It is a larger band size, found in many brands' extended ranges. Cup letters mean nothing alone: a cup only has a volume relative to its band, which is why 44D and 48B hold a similar volume to 46C.
My 46C doesn't fit — what should I try?
If the band rides up or feels loose, go to 44D. If the band digs in while the cup is fine, go to 48B. If the cup overflows, try one cup up in the same band; if it wrinkles empty, one cup down. Two minutes with the calculator gives you a fresh estimate.
